The whole pavilion includes more than 25 interactive installations dedicated to the oil industry; the studio's zone was the scientific part of the display.
HALO developed the multimedia solutions for the hall: the creative concept, content, interactive scenarios and visual materials based on the Unreal Engine. The Unreal Engine made it possible to build real-time graphics and interactivity, through which the visitor does not just watch but interacts with the history, technology and scientific side of the oil industry.
The content and interactive installations of the hall help to immerse in an applied-science theme: complex industry material is translated here into a clear, interactive experience where abstract scientific processes become visible. For an industry museum this is a way to speak with the visitor not in the language of reports but through action.
Working on a single zone within a large museum pavilion is about integration: the “Science” hall has to hold the overall level of a display of more than 25 installations while being responsible for its own, scientific part of the story about oil. This is one of the studio's early major museum projects, from 2018.
