An immersive format means the viewer does not observe the exhibits from the outside but ends up inside an environment built from light, image and space. HALO assembles the project in full: concept and content, software, technical equipment, on-site installation and commissioning. The studio is responsible for the entire path from idea to a working exhibition, not for a single segment.
Moving to a venue abroad changes the logistics of the whole chain. Content and software are prepared for the specific space, equipment is supplied and configured on site, and commissioning takes place on location, in Dubai. The full turnkey cycle that the studio usually delivers at Russian venues is here carried abroad without breaking it up among contractors and with single responsibility for the result.
At the time of publication the project is in progress. For HALO this is an entry into the international market with its familiar model – taking on the whole project and carrying it through to launch. An immersive exhibition about lost art rests on environment and atmosphere, so the integrity of content and technology matters especially here: a gap between the image and the equipment would destroy the whole effect.
