HALO created the video content and multimedia stage solutions for it.
Theatre differs from an exhibition: the content here is not a standalone object but part of the scenography, and it works together with the actor, the light and the directing in the real time of the performance. Video on stage has to support the action rather than pull it toward itself, and to hit the rhythm of the production precisely from show to show, evening after evening.
The studio was responsible for the CG content and took part in the directing and scenography – that is, it did not simply hand over videos but built them into the artistic solution of the play. “Laurus” is a novel with a complex, timeless structure, where the action spans the whole life of the protagonist, and multimedia on stage helps to hold this atmosphere while staying within the language of theatre rather than replacing it.
