The exhibition of civilian unmanned aerial systems occupied 10,000 sq m, and HALO was responsible for the video and interactive content of the entire space.
The content was made on the Unreal Engine: 16 videos of 2 minutes each and 4 interactive videos, 35 minutes in total. Unreal was chosen here for a reason – it allows working with real-time graphics and interactivity in a single environment, which matters when part of the content has to respond to the viewer.
The main feature of the project is the timeline. The whole volume was produced in 30 days. For 35 minutes of content and an area of 10,000 sq m this is a tight schedule, where production runs in parallel across all the videos at once.
The studio covered the creative concept, CG content, sound and light, interactivity and software. The combination of a large area, a real one-month deadline and a real-time engine makes this case telling: it is about how the studio holds volume and deadline at the same time, sacrificing neither.
